The group has an opening for a summer student position to participate in these studies. In particular, the student will be involved in the creation, validation and study of the large-scale Monte Carlo samples that will be created with the Big Mac Beowulf cluster at Toronto, and will work closely with the Toronto researchers involved in these studies. One or two field trips to Fermilab may be necessary over the course of the summer to meet other collaborators working on related topics.
This position is open to students at any level, though there will be a
preference for students how have completed at least two years of
undergraduate study. Some programming experience in c++ or a related
language and familiarlity with the linux operation system would be
helpful.
