A postdoctoral research associate position in Experimental High Energy Physics is available at the University of Toronto. The position is being offered to work primarily on the CDF experiment at Fermilab. Our group is concentrating on bottom and top quark physics with the data from the current CDF run and is involved in the upgrade effort to the CDF detector for the Tevatron Run II programme, scheduled to start in 1999. The successful candidate will be expected to take a leading role in both CDF physics analysis as well as the hardware and/or software upgrade effort. The position will be based in Toronto but will involve travel to Fermilab on a regular basis. The HEP group is also involved in the ZEUS and ATLAS experiments.
Candidates should supply a resume, a description of research interests and three letters of reference, by July 31, 1997, to Prof. Pekka Sinervo, Physics Department, 60 St. George St., Toronto, Ontario, M5S 1A7, Canada. Please contact pekka@physics.utoronto.ca for additional information.
