The Collider Detector at Fermilab (CDF)
experiment is currently collecting and analyzing data on the very highest
energy matter-antimatter collisions ever observed. The Toronto-CDF
group
is involved in several measurements related to electroweak and top quark
physics. The group has an opening for a summer student position to participate
in these studies. In particular, the student will be involved in the design
and building of an alignment system for the plug calorimeter of CDF and
for the silicon vertex detector upgrade. Field trips
to Fermilab may be necessary over the course of the summer to participate
in the installation of the plug calorimeter alignment system.
