ATLAS Pixel Detector (Canada)

The University of Toronto group has been involved in the ATLAS pixel detector project for the last several years. Our efforts have focused on studying the survey and alignment of the pixel system during construction and after installation.

We are in the process of broadening our involvement in the project in an effort to play a larger role as well as to involve other Canadian collaborators whose interests might lie outside of the main Canadian calorimetry effort.

To do this we are in the process of holding a series of meetings leading up to the submission of a grant request to establish and ATLAS-Canada pixel project. The meetings we are planning include:

  • Introductory meeting in Toronto (May 5, 1999)
  • ATLAS-Canada collaboration meeting in Edmonton (May 8, 1999)
  • Pixel meeting at Universite de Montreal (May 27, 1999)
  • ATLAS-Canada collaboration meeting (August 1999)
  • ATLAS-Canada collaboration meeting at Montreal (November 1999)
  • Draft of talk to be given at ATLAS Canada review (January 10, 2000)
  • We will attempt to keep this page updated with information as the project evolves.
